Lake Conditions:
The lake is Open year-round. Campers, Day Users, and Anglers are Welcome! All Guests must sign a liability waiver and pick up a parking pass upon arrival on the property.
Attention Anglers!
The lake is thaw and open water fishing is available.
Day Use is open from Sun Up to Sun Down you must register prior to 4:00 pm of your arrival date.

Campfires are ARE allowed currently. We thank you for helping us keep the forest safe.
**Please note we have been in Red Flag Warnings frequently due to unpredictable winds in our area and low humidity levels. Please come prepared with an alternate source of cooking for your stay if a Red Flag Warning is issued unexpectedly.

CO Rd 68/Wellington Lake Rd:
Road 68 has light washboard for the first 7 miles with some potholes the last 4 miles.
Please visit our travel page for details on the best route into Wellington Lake.
*The most reliable, year-round access to the lake is via County Road 68 from Bailey, CO.
Camping Information:
The Campground is OPEN year-round, and reservations are made online. If you are looking for a same-day camping reservation, please call to book over the phone. Walk-up Camping is available on site on non-peak season days only. Camp sites #22-75 will be closed starting November 2023 until May 2024 for site restoration. We are SOLD OUT of Ice for the Season. Please bring Ice with you on your adventure.
Campground Reservations:
Campsites may be reserved through the online booking portal as early as 3 months in advance of your check-in date at midnight.
*Guests may book earlier than 3 months via the Advanced Booking process. Please note that if your check in date is within 3 months but your additional dates fall outside of the 3 months, the Advanced Booking fees will apply to all dates outside of the 3-month window.**** Advanced Bookings open online on January 2nd, 2024, at 8 am****
